About Cherry Hill, NJ

A township in Camden County, Cherry Hill is the 15th-most populous municipality in the state, with a population that rivals the nearby city of Camden. Though it was first called Colestown by early European settlers, Cherry Hill took its contemporary name from an eponymous local farm. The township grew rapidly after the second World War, and population continued to increase well into the 1980s. At this point, many of the outdated factories and industrial centers within Cherry Hill were repurposed for new commercial use. Since it borders both Camden and Philadelphia, many residents of Cherry Hill commute out of the area for work each day. The town now contains a wonderful blend of businesses, from industrial manufacturing facilities to small local establishments.
